Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar awarded degrees to the students at the 13th convocation. Students from various programmes, including engineering, law, pharmacy, management, BEd, agriculture, BBA, BCA and others were conferred degrees. The convocation ceremony started with a lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a welcome prayer. “The process of learning in life does not end, but from today is the beginning of a new education and achieving new goals,” said Arlekar. He exhorted the students to develop the ability to lead society.

CGC, Jhanjeri

The Jhanjeri campus organised a free-medical consultation camp to promote accessible healthcare. The camp witnessed participation of over 500 individuals, including students, faculty and residents of nearby villages. Specialist doctors provided expert consultations.

PEC, Chandigarh

The institute is hosting an Industry-Academia Interaction Week’, which aims to strengthen ties between academia and industry, fostering innovation and collaboration for holistic development. The Centre of Management and Humanities (CMH) hosted a session titled ‘Breaking the Barriers of Communication and Embracing the World Unflinchingly’ by Divya Khanna, founder and transformational coach at Genesis Educates, Chandigarh. Earlier in the week, Dr Parikshit Bansal delivered a lecture on ‘Career Opportunities in Intellectual Property Rights’.

SGGS, Chandigarh

The college organised an interactive session ‘Rubaru’, focusing on literature, culture, and the role of regional languages in modern society. Renowned Punjabi author Manmohan Singh Daun emphasised the importance of preserving Puadhi, an eastern dialect of the Punjabi language that is spoken in the Puadh region of northern India, through means of creative writing. He encouraged students to take pride in their linguistic roots, while also staying open to learning from other cultures.

GCCBA, Chandigarh

A session on ‘Analysis of Financial Statements’, led by keynote speaker Prof Sanjeev Chadha, Head of Management Development Centre at MGSIPA, engaged 100 students from the college. The event was both informative and interactive, utilising case studies to deepen students’ understanding of financial analysis. In addition to the academic focus, students took a swachhta pledge, promising to dedicate 100 hours annually —two each week —to voluntary cleanliness efforts.

Dev Samaj College, Chandigarh

The college celebrated NSS Day. The main objective of the celebration was to spread awareness among participants about the role and significance of the NSS in the welfare of society. NSS aims to provide hands-on experience to young students in delivering community service.
