Farmers of Punjab were being accorded a step-motherly treatment by the Centre and were left to fend for themselves in grain markets, Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur stated here today.

The minister stated that the BJP-led Centre had always ignored pleas and the people of Punjab, especially farmers. She said the farmers’ demand for MSP had not been met and at the same time the Central Government was deliberately not picking the crop at the specified time from mandis across the state.

She said the people will give a befitting reply to the Central Government soon.
