The Panchkula police have launched an awareness campaign in the district to sensitise students to cybercrime.

A police spokesperson said awareness campaigns were being run in educational institutions, schools and colleges across the district to make students aware of cybercrime. Under the campaign, cyber police station in-charge Munish Kumar, along with his team, reached Allen Institute, Sector 14, here, today. He spread awareness among students on how to protect themselves from cybercrime.

“Awareness among people is must to keep themselves safe from cybercrime. In case of any cyber fraud, a person should call the helpline 1930 to report the case,” he said.
