Chandigarh, January 17

UT Adviser Dharam Pal today inaugurated a mini-Covid care centre at the IMA Complex in Sector 35 with a 45-bed capacity. The centre has been set up by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Society “Tera hi Tera”, in association with the IMA.

Harjit Singh Shabahrwal from “Tera hi Tera” said they had all oxygenated beds. Qualified medical and paramedial staff had been provided to take care of Covid patients. Two dedicated mobike ambulances had been provided to the centre and arrangements had been made for indoor games and nutritious food for the patients.

The Adviser appreciated Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Society for coming forward and associating with the Administration during the ongoing crisis. He mentioned that “Tera hi Tera” had set up another mini-Covid centre at Bal Bhawan, Sector 23. During the second wave also, a mini-Covid care centre was successfully operated by the society at the Bal Bhawan in Sector 23.

Yashpal Garg, Secretary Health, Dr Suman Singh, DHS, Dr VK Nagpal, MS, Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, and Rajiv Tiwari, Director (PR), were also present during the inauguration of the centre.
