71.5% get jabbed in Panchkula

By setting a target of 1,500 for the day, the Panchkula health authorities were able to vaccinate at least 1,133 healthcare workers today as 71.5 per cent of the earmarked beneficiaries turned up at the 12 designated sites on the seventh day of the vaccination drive.
The sites where the vaccination drive was held were the Civil Dispensary, Sector 4, Saket Hospital, Alchemist Hospital, the Civil Dispensary, Sector 7, the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Morni, the PHC, Nanakpur, Ojas Hospital, the PHC, Pinjore, the Civil Hospital, Sector 6, the PHC, Surajpur, the Urban Health Centre, Sector 16, and the PHC, Kot.
426 inoculated in UT
Chandigarh: The city on Monday recorded a turnout of 47.3 per cent at all nine sites. Against the target of 900 beneficiaries, 426 were inoculated. The UT has inoculated 2,037 health workers of the 3,969 invited for taking the jab so far. TNS
The improvement in the vaccination figures has taken the overall “achievement rate” to 61.6 per cent.
So far, 2,557 healthcare workers have got the first jab. As many as 6,219 health workers – 3,541 government and 2,678 private professionals – have been identified for the first phase of the drive. — TNS
31 more infected in UT
Chandigarh: The city on Monday reported 31 fresh cases of Covid, taking the UT case tally to 20,749 and the toll to 334. A total of 25 more patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
