7 minor boys missing from Dera Bassi

Seven minor boys from Bhagat Singh Nagar locality in Dera Bassi have been missing for three days, their parents said. They said the boys belong to the same school, adding that they had left home around 5 a.m. on Sunday to play in a park near the police station. The parents said when the boys did not return till noon, their parents started searching for them; however, no one was found till late in the evening on Monday.

Deep, 15, who was playing with his friends Anil and Suraj, said the duo was planning to go to Mumbai and asked him to accompany them. The police said Gyan Chand, Gorav, Ajay, Dillip, and Vishnu are also missing. The police said two boys have mobile phones with them and are operating their social media accounts and playing online games. Dera Bassi SHO Mandeep Singh said police have informed the railway stations with their photographs, adding that the search is on.
