60 scientists present their innovations at Panjab varsity
As many as 60 scientists from 32 institutes across India presented their innovations to industry representatives interested in adopting and commercialising new technologies during the Transfer of Technology Conference, which concluded at Panjab University today.
In total, 67 technologies were showcased, including 19 in medical devices, 15 in pharmaceuticals, 16 in environment and energy, and 17 in engineering and related fields. Three significant memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were also signed. The conference was organised by the Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) of PU in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST).
The conference focused on transferring technologies developed in academia to industry. During the conference, the scientists were given 10 minutes each to explain their inventions, which covered diverse domains such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, environment and energy, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and general engineering.
