Mohali, July 1

Five new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the district today.

A 39-year-old woman from Zirakpur and a 61-year-old man from Khanpur, who had returned from Bihar recently, were found positive for the virus. A 19-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman of Behra village, both contacts a Covid patient, were found infected. They are employees of a meat factory at Behra village. A 20-year-old girl from Sector 71, Mohali, was also reported to have contracted the virus today.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman from Dera Bassi was discharged from a hospital. — TNS
