The UT Estate Office today sealed five booths in Sectors 40 and 41 over non-payment of dues. The drive was conducted under the leadership of Enforcement Inspector Anil Narad on the directions of SDM (South) Khushpreet Kaur. According to officials, the allotment of the booths had already been cancelled and the occupants were evicted today.

The department has decided to prepare a list of properties violating byelaws to initiate action against them. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
