Mohali, October 29

Three persons were arrested for creating a ruckus and attacking cops on duty in Sector 70 here last night. They were produced in a local court, which sent them to three-day police custody.

The suspects, identified as Satinderpal Singh, Avneet Singh, both residents of Sector 70, and Jasmeet Singh, a resident of Sunny Enclave in Kharar, were arrested when they were allegedly creating a ruckus in front of a liquor shop. When cops on patrol duty, including Mataur SHO Inspector Rajiv Kumar, tried to stop them, the trio sped away in their car after hitting the police vehicle. After a brief chase, the cops nabbed them.
