Mohali, July 31
With the surfacing of 28 new positive coronavirus cases the total count has gone up to 850 in the Mohali district.
Meanwhile, 19 patients have been discharged from the hospital and active cases are 321.
The persons infected with the virus include 48-year-old female of Ecogreen Derabassi, 29-year-old male of Mukandpur, 34-year-old male of Royal Farms Motia Heights, three females aged 27, 30, 32 and 60-year-old male of Derabassi, 34-year-old female of Jawaharpur, 22-year-old female of Kumbra, 30-year-old male of Rajumajra, two males aged 27, 16 of Dhakoli, four females aged 37, 61, 15, 28 of Zirakpur, 50-year-old female of Skynet Enclave Zirakpur, 29 year male of Amardeep Nagar Derabassi, 24-year-old male, 7-year-old female of ATS Derabassi, 18-year-old male of Lalru, two males aged 48, 25 and two females aged 29, 23 of Kharar, 32-year-old male of New Chandigarh, 65-year-old male of Manakpur and 25-year-old female of Omega City Kharar.
The 19 persons cured and discharged from hospital include two males aged 30 and 28 years in Zirakpur, six males aged 46, 47, 14, 11, 10, 24 and 20-year-old female of Kharar, two males aged 30, 19 of Jawaharpur, two males aged 30, 63 and 63-year-old female of Derabassi, two females aged 18, 46 and two males aged 50, 14 of Sunny Enclave Kharar and 28-year-male of Sector 70 Mohali.
Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh said that new patients have been admitted to the Covid care centre at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur. He said all the patients were responding to the treatment well.
Till now there have been 850 cases of coronavirus and out of these 515 patients have been cured and discharged from the hospital.
There are 321 active cases with 14 deaths in the district.
