The police arrested two youths for pushing a medical officer while trying to flee with injections from a store room in the Community Health Centre, Dhakoli, on Sunday evening.

Dr Prabhjot Singh, who is in her late stages of pregnancy, was pushed by one of the two youths when she tried to stop them from fleeing with the injections.

The accused have been identified as Deepak Kumar, a resident of Dera Bassi, and Arun Nagar, of Panchkula. They were arrested near the Dhakoli flyover.

The CCTV footage shows the duo arriving in a bike and entering a room while the gynecologist following them and confronts them. One of the suspect pushes the doctor while fleeing, the other suspect too touched the doctor before fleeing.

Doctors complained that such incidents are a common thing in the Dhakoli hospital as drug addicts enter the hospital rooms in search of syringes on a regular basis. Doctors said they have reported such incidents in the past too, but to no avail.
