The police arrested a 19-year-old youth after recovering 5.2 gm heroin from his possession.

The accused, who has been identified as Ajay, a resident of Maloya, was nabbed from near a government school located in the vicinity of his house.

A case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered.

The accused was later produced in the court and sent to judicial custody.
