Chandigarh, April 19

The city witnessed 12.6 mm of rainfall in the evening. The showers brought relief from the heat but caused inconvenience to commuters.

According to the Metrological Department, light rain accompanied by thunderstorm occurred in the city in intervals. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 37.2 °C, which was 1.9 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.5 °C, which was 2.2 degrees above normal.

The weather department has predicted mainly clear sky on Saturday and Sunday and partly cloudy conditions on Monday and Tuesday.
