Multani Mal Modi College today organised Convocation-2024 for post-graduate and graduate students. It was inaugurated by the chief guest, Prof Susheel Mittal, Vice-Chancellor, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

For the session 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, a total of 1,015 graduate and post-graduate degrees were conferred in the faculties of science, arts, commerce, management and computer sciences.

Prof Balraj Singh Saini, Dean, College Development Council, Punjabi University, was the guest of honour. College Principal Neeraj Goyal presented a brief report about the achievements of the college in various national and international events.

In his convocational address, Prof Mittal congratulated the new graduates and post-graduates. He said, “We are living in an era of complex global problems, new technical innovations and intelligent machines.” He emphasised that although these technologies were opening new horizons in all fields of learning, there was no substitute for human intelligence. In the concluding session, Prof Balraj Singh Saini motivated the students to focus their potential and energies towards reconstructing a more humane and democratic society.

Prof Surindra Lal and Col Karminder Singh, members of the Management Committee, also congratulated the fresh graduates.
