Boys of Sector 37 school with their medals after winning the title game in the inter-school baseball tournamnent organised by the Education Department, Chandigarh.

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 37, won interschool baseball tournament for boys’ in the U-19 category. In the final, the Sector 37 team recorded a 4-3 win over DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8. GMSSS, Sector 15, registered a 5-4 win over GMSSS, Sector 37 (D) to claim the third position.

In the boys’ U-17 quarterfinals, GMSSS, Sector 10, posted an 8-1 win over GMSSS, Sector 15, while Ryan International School, Sector 49, defeated GMSSS, Sector 8, 9-0.

GMSSS, Sector 10, logged a 7-2 win over GMSSS, Sector 15, to win the girls’ U-17 final. In the girls’ U-19 final, DAV School, Sector 8, logged a 5-1 win over GMSSS, Sector 37. The team of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, posted an 11-0 win over GMSSS, Sector 15, to finish third.

In the boys’ U-17 table tennis event, St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, defeated Chitkara International School, Sector 25, 3-0. RIMT, Mani Majra, defeated DC Montessori, Tender Heart School, Sector 33, outplayed St Kabir School, Sector 26, and Vivek High School, Sector 38, ousted Delhi Public School, Sector 40, by identical scores of 3-0.

GNPS win basketball

Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, won the interschool basketball tournament. The tournament saw fierce competition among 19 teams from Chandigarh. The final match between GNPS and New Public School, Sector 18, was an intense and thrilling encounter. The first three quarters were closely contested, with both teams displaying exceptional skill. GNPS ultimately emerged victorious, winning the final match by 11 points and lifting the trophy.

GMSS, Sector 35, logged a 2-0 win over Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26, in the boys’ U-17 interschool lawn tennis tournament. Delhi Public School, Sector 40, defeated Gurukul Global, Mani Majra, 2-1 and DAV School, Sector 8, defeated St Anne’s School, Sector 33, 2-0.

Shishu Niketan girls win silver

The girls’ U-17 cricket team of Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22-D, won a silver medal. In the match, the Sector 22 defeated Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, in a match held at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32.
