Acting tough on the quality of bio-soil filled in the low-lying area of Sector 53, Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation (MC), today directed the engineers concerned to get it reprocessed at the plant immediately.

The Commissioner today inspected the site, along with the engineers and other officers of the MC. There were reports that semi-processed or unprocessed bio-soil was being dumped in the low-lying area of Sector 53.

After the inspection, it was found that the quality of bio-soil in the low lying area was not up to the mark. The Commissioner directed the engineers engaged in this project under solid waste management to reprocess the bio-soil immediately at the plant and sought detailed report of processing about the bio-mining project of the legacy waste at the Dadu Majra dump site.
