The police have booked a Punjab native for allegedly misbehaving with traffic cops. SI Hira Singh reported that an SUV was stopped for checking at a naka near the South End chowk. The driver refused to show the documents of the vehicle and misbehaved with the police personnel manning the naka. The police have registered a case against the SUV driver at the Sector 36 police station.

Chain snatched from woman

Chandigarh: A gold chain has been snatched from a woman in the city. The victim reported that miscreants snatched her gold chain near the market in in Sector 34. She informed the police, after which a case was registered.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
