Chamba dist schools gear up for PARAKH National Survey-2024
In preparation for the PARAKH National Survey-2024, State Nodal Officer Sudhir Bhatia and Deputy Director of Education (Inspection) Bhagat Singh Thakur conducted inspections at various schools across the district on Thursday.
The officials visited several schools — including government senior secondary schools in Kiyani, Sarol, Banikhet, Devi Dehra, and Government Middle School, Balu, in Sultanpur. During the inspections, they interacted with students and assessed their knowledge in language, mathematics and science.
The officers emphasised the importance of ensuring regular attendance, particularly for students from migratory communities.
Bhatia said the survey evaluation process would commence in the first week of December. Good results from the survey would improve the state’s educational ranking at the national level, he added.
To prepare students for the main survey, mock tests are being conducted for students of classes III, VI, and IX across the state. These mock tests align with the national survey’s assessment standards, and the results are shared with teachers to identify areas that need improvement before the final survey.
