Chamba DC reviews project proposal for inclusive tourism development

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal today held a meeting with Not on Map, an organisation promoting tourism in the region, to discuss a project proposal for inclusive tourism development in the district’s rural areas.
The DC conducted a thorough review of the project proposal, prepared by the organisation for inclusive tourism development and sustainable eco-tourism in 45 gram panchayats under three clusters of the Chamba development block.
Repaswal directed a re-survey of the panchayats with significant potential to initiate the first phase of the work.
The DC assured the organisation’s representatives of full cooperation from the district administration and all relevant departments. He also instructed them to take necessary measures, considering the district’s sensitive ecological system. Repaswal emphasised the need to collaborate with relevant departments to submit the project proposal for funding under the Government of India and corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes of various companies.
Earlier, Kumar Anubhav and Sachin Kumar from Not On Map presented detailed information about the project proposal through an online medium. Additional District Magistrate Amit Mehra and Co-founder of Not on Map Manuj Sharma also attended the meeting.
