CBSE table tennis tourney ends
The CBSE National Table Tennis Championship-2024 has concluded at the Khelo India Residential Academy in Nagrota Bagwan.
Several seasoned professionals as well as emerging young talents competed in singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories in the tournament held from October 1 to 4.
In the U-19 girls category, the team from Bal Bharti School, Gurgaon, stood first, while Manav Sthali School, New Delhi, and DPS, Surat, bagged the second and third positions, respectively. Among boys, team from the Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, clinched the trophy, while DPS, Sonipat, stood second and Bal Bharti Public School, Noida, team stood third.
In the individual boys category, H Lalrut of Sanga Bal Bharti Public School, Noida, stood first, Sudhanshu Maini of Manav Sthali School stood secondm, and Nikunj of Pathania Public School, Rohtak, stood third.
Among girls, Vanshika Mudgal of Manav Sthali School bagged the first position, followed by Ridhima Kapoor of Lovely Public Delhi and Niti Aggarwal of Vyedhi School of Excellence in second and third positions, respectively.
Kangra DC Hemraj Bairwa, who was the chief guest, praised the school for its commitment to promote sports and extracurricular activities. Nagrota Bagwan SDM Munish Sharma, Principal Dr Chhavi Kashyap, CBSE National Observer Dr Sandeep Gupta, International Referee Amit Kumar Dubay, Gujarat DGP Dr KLN Rao, Empire Krishan Lal and spokesperson Madhu Chaudhary were also present.
