New Delhi, August 7

A team of around 10-12 CBI officials surveyed the coaching centre, Rau’s IAS Study Circle, at Rajinder Nagar on Wednesday where three civil services aspirants had drowned due to flooding in the basement.

The CBI team reached the spot on Wednesday evening after the Delhi High Court directed the police to handover the case to the central probe agency on August 2. Since, the Centre has taken over the case, the CBI has registered an FIR and launched preliminary probe.

The co-owners of the coaching centre have moved bail pleas. The court had requested the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to appoint a senior officer to oversee the CBI's investigation.
