A cattle smuggler was killed and six others were injured when their vehicle, loaded with cows, overturned while they were attempting to flee from the police by driving at high speed in the wrong direction. The incident, which occurred near Pachgaon Chowk around 3.30 am on Thursday, led to an FIR being filed at the Manesar police station.

According to a police spokesperson, the injured have been admitted to a hospital, and the body of the deceased will be handed over to his family after a postmortem.

The incident took place when a patrolling team from the cow protection cell spotted several individuals loading cows into a pickup truck near the Manesar bus stand. Upon noticing the police, the suspects sped towards the Pachgaon-Bilaspur road. Although the vehicle initially gained distance, a traffic jam at Pachgaon Chowk allowed the police to catch up. In an attempt to evade the police, the driver accelerated and tried to cross the road divider by driving in the wrong direction, causing the vehicle to overturn.
