Career camp at Chamba school
A career guidance camp was organised today by the District Employment Office at Government Senior Secondary School, Randoh. Chamba SDM Priyanshu Khati was the chief guest at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Khati emphasised the importance of career guidance in helping students understand their strengths and weaknesses, exhorting them to make informed career choices.
He said hard work was essential for success, and advised students to choose their career paths early with the support of their parents and teachers.
He also urged students to stay away from substance abuse.
Several experts from different fields addressed the students.
District Employment Officer Arvind Singh Chauhan introduced students to various career options, and shed light on future opportunities in engineering.
He said the programme would assist students in aligning their interests and skills to choose the right career path, ultimately leading to a brighter future.
Young professional Tanu Kumari provided detailed insights into teaching as a profession, and shared valuable tips regarding preparing for interviews. Dr Rishav Sharma from the Health Department, Deputy Director of Agriculture Dr Kuldeep Dhiman and Sushma Sharma from ITI, Chamba, offered field-specific information along with career-related advice.
Earlier, Principal Manoj Kumar welcomed and honoured the chief guest. School staff, students, and their parents were among those present at the event.
