Capt Amarinder to attend Navjot Sidhu’s elevation ceremony

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh willl attend Friday’s ceremony in which Navjot Singh Sidhu will formally take over the reins of the state Congress.
The development comes following intervention of the party high command and it is learnt that Punjab affairs incharge, Harish Rawat will accompany the CM to the Congress bhavan where the function is going to be held.
One of the working presidents appointed recently, Kuljit Singh Nagra handed over the invite to the CM personally at his residence shortly.
Meanwhile, Raveen Thukral, media advisor to the CM tweeted that the CM had invited all MPs, MLAs and senior party functionaries for tea at Punjab Bhavan at 10 a.m. before heading to the installation ceremony.
