A 20-foot breach in the Moolianwali sub-canal near Fazilka has damaged the wheat crop sown on 100 acres of land by farmers in Banwala village.

Sukhjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh Karamjit Singh, Sardul Singh and other farmers said they had to spend thousands of rupees on fertilisers and other resources to sow their crops.

They added that it would be difficult for them to sow wheat again for the next several days. This would also impact their yield.

The farmers stated that it would be impossible for them to arrange the DAP fertiliser again and re-sow their crop.
