Amritsar: Students of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, have excelled at the prestigious World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Championship. They secured first position at the WRO regional level championship and qualified for the national championship. The event was held at Manav Rachna International School, Mohali. Two teams from the school participated in the regional championship, competing against 18 teams from renowned schools of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Team ‘Technocratic Dynamos’ — comprising Ansh Kumar (researcher), Ansh Dadwal (programmer and robot maker), and Krish Kashyap (architect) — clinched the top spot. Team 2, consisting of Kartik Mahajan (researcher), Mahesh Kumar (architect), and Priyanshu Goyal (programmer) also performed remarkably well. Principal Vinodita Sankhyan praised the students and credited them for showcasing the possibilities of STEM and robotic education.

Student Induction Programme

A three-day long student induction programme was organised at Khalsa College of Education, GT Road, for students of BA/ BSc-BEd (semester -1). The programme aimed at apprising new students and helping them familiarise with college environment, academic expectations and outcomes. Principal Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the students and emphasised the college’s mission, vision, ethos and values. He talked about the unique and fleeting experience and motivated them to excel in the field of their interest, and to actively participate in all the academic and co-academic activities. During the programme, the students were oriented regarding various committees, clubs and different cells operating in the college to groom their overall personality.

National Sports Day

Delhi Public School, Gurdaspur, celebrated National Sports Day with immense enthusiasm and zeal. This day, dedicated to the life and contributions of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary sportsman, witnessed participation from students from kindergarten to Class XII. The celebration began with various sports activities for the students. Kindergarten students participated in races, shape-jumping and other fun games, proudly earning first, second, and third positions. The young achievers were honoured by the school management for their efforts and enthusiasm.

Students bring laurels

Students of Khalsa College of Law made the institution proud by achieving excellent results in semester IV examination. Amanpreet Kaur secured the second position in the university with 446 marks out of 600, while Janvi secured the third position with 441 marks. Khalsa College Governing Council honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, college Director-cum-Principal Jaspal Singh congratulated the teachers and students.
