Yamunanagar: Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, in collaboration with the department of biotechnology and Microbiologist Society India, celebrated World Environment Health Day (WEHD). The theme for this year's celebration was "Environmental health: Creating resilient communities through disaster risk reduction and climate change mitigation and adaptation". Principal Dr Harinder Singh Kang inaugurated the eventand emphasised on the importance of environmental health in addressing the growing challenges posed by climate change. On the occasion, an intra-college poster-making competition was organised, where students from various departments showcased their creativity and awareness about key environmental challenges. Garvish from BCom final year, Pragya and Himani from MSc biotechnology first year and Aashish from BCom third year secured first, second and third prizes, respectively.
