Yamunanagar: Tavleen Singh, a dedicated sportsman from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, has been selected for the prestigious Indian Universities Cricket (Men’s) Team selection trials. These trials will determine the team that will participate in a bilateral series against the Australian Universities Cricket (Men’s) Team. Tavleen Singh is the only player selected from Kurukshetra University for these trials, a significant achievement reflecting his dedication and hard work. Tavleen has honed his cricketing skills under the expert guidance of Dr Rajesh Sobti. His training has prepared him to compete at the highest level, representing the university and the nation. Principal Dr Harinder Singh Kang congratulated Tavleen Singh on his selection, noting that his achievement brings pride to the college and inspires other students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports. He expressed confidence in Tavleen’s ability to perform well in the trials and wished him the best for his upcoming challenge.

RKSD College bags overall trophy

Karnal:The three-day Zonal Youth Festival of Kurukshetra Zone concluded here at RKSD College. As many as 45 colleges of this zone, along with 300 participants, showcased their talents in different events like Rasiya Group Dance, Choreography, Haryanvi Group Dance, Haryanvi Song, One-Act Play, Mimicry, Saang and other events during the event. A total of five stages were set up in the college for the smooth conduct of the festival. Chairman Ashwani Shorewale and Principal Sanjay Goyal said it was a matter of great pride that the college once again bagged the overall trophy of this youth festival and had recommended place in more than 20 items and commended place in more than 10 items. Observers appointed by Kurukshetra University, nominees from the department of Youth and Cultural Affairs of the university, the office-bearers of the Rashtriya Vidya Smiti and Governing Body of the college, distinguished guests from the city, Principals of various colleges and the Kaithal Deputy Commissioner were present on the occasion.
