Stalwarts World School announced the achievement of its teachers, who were recently awarded certificates by Trinity College London for their efforts in preparing students for drama. The teachers recognised for their dedication include Riti, Poonam, Binu, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Kanika Malhotra. Furthermore, Vasundhara Bansal and Kanchan received certificates for their organisational skills, ensuring the seamless execution of the drama preparation process. Principal Manisha Dhanuka congratulated the awardees, expressing gratitude to the entire team for fostering a passion for the arts and inspiring students to excel in drama.

Annual function at DAV school

Students of PlayPen, nursery and LKG at DAV Public School presented their annual show, “Once Upon a Time”, on December 18 at Urvi Auditorium. The tiny tots brought characters to life through heartwarming stories like Cinderella, The Monkey and the Cap Seller and Alibaba. Their dramatic storytelling transported the audience to a world of wonder while conveying the importance of values such as problem-solving, resilience, empathy and honesty. The event emphasised reviving the tradition of storytelling to strengthen bonds between grandparents, parents and children. Kiran N Sawandkar, IDES Chief Executive Officer of Cantonment Amritsar, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Principal Dr Pallavi Sethi appreciated the students and staff, noting the invaluable life lessons stories offer to children, fostering both wisdom and morality.

Lab at Guru Teg Bahadur College

Jatinder Singh Nagi, son of late Lt Col Rajinder Singh Nagi and president of the Mahna Singh Charitable Trust, inaugurated a new computer lab at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women. The event was held in the presence of Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Pro-Chancellor of Khalsa University and Secretary of the Khalsa College Governing Council. The college, established in memory of Mahna Singh Ramgarhia, operates under the Khalsa College Charitable Society, which took ownership of the Mahna Singh Ramgarhia Dharamshala in 2016. Lt Col Rajinder Singh Nagi, a decorated soldier from World War II, had entrusted the trust’s land and property to the college council, envisioning the institution as a hub for girls’ education. The new lab aims to empower students by providing access to modern computer technology, fulfilling Lt Col Nagi’s vision of equipping girls with tools for a better future.
