An intra-class non-fire cooking competition was organised for Classes IX to XII at Police DAV Public School on the theme “creative recipes without fire”. Students prepared the dishes on the spot and presented them beautifully. The impressive layout and the exquisite taste reflected their excellent culinary skills. Principal Rashmi Vij evaluated the dishes. Teachers Gargi Sharma and Sonu were the judges on the occasion. The event was coordinated by Preeti Khehra.
Greatest Leader Award
Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, chairman of Vasal Education, received the “India’s Greatest Leader Award” during the 13th edition of the India’s Greatest Brands and Leaders and GCC Awards in Dubai. The award was presented to him by Anurag Thakur, former Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports. Members of Vasal Education congratulated Sanjeev for the achievement.
Annual Sports Day
Annual Sports Day was celebrated at Kamla Nehru Primary School, Phagwara. Divya Sardana, a businessman, was the chief guest, while Paramjit Kaur Dhillon, principal (Admin and Innovation), Kamla Nehru Public School, was the guest of honour. Jyoti Bharadwaj, headmistress of Kamla Nehru Primary School, welcomed the chief guest. Events such as 20m race, orange cap race, cone race, hopscotch race and ribbon dance were held on the occasion. Children also performed yoga, ball and ring dance and Zumba. They presented an act on “say no to drugs”. The winning students were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals.
Inter-school festival 
Students of Swami Sant Dass Public School bagged the overall championship trophy during the inter-school festival, “Panorama 6.0”, conducted at Lovely Professional University. The students won prizes in all events. They bagged first prize in working model team, puppet making and mono-acting. The students won second prize in notice board decoration and non-working model. They bagged third prize in power-point presentation and collage making. A total of 12 teams took part in the festival. Appreciating the efforts of the team, Principal Sonia Mago highlighted the need to participate in extracurricular activities to develop life skills.
Air Force Day observed
Eklavya School observed Indian Air Force Day. Administrator Dimple Malhotra delivered a speech on Indian Air Force Day in the morning assembly. Students took part in craft work and showcased their enthusiasm and patriotism through various activities. JK Gupta, chairman of the school, said such events should be observed to make students aware of the importance of the day.
Emm Aar International School
Emm Aar International School, Adampur, observed Indian Air Force Day with patriotic fervour. NCC cadets of the school held a ceremonial parade, showcasing their respect for the armed forces. The event, which was held on the school ground, also witnessed an overwhelming participation of students and faculty members. The parade not only displayed the skills of cadets but also served as an inspiration for junior students, instilling a sense of pride and responsibility towards the country. Officiating Principal Ashish appreciated the efforts of NCC cadets and encouraged all students to imbibe the values of discipline and perseverance.
