Mandi Ahmedgarh: The management committee of Paragon International School, Dehlon, felicitated Ekjot Singh who fetched laurels to the institute by winning the silver medal in U-17 (57kg) category of 68th School State Level Karate Competition held at the Pathankot recently. Chairperson Suman Sofat and Director Surinder Pal led the management committee during the felicitation function held under the guidance of Principal Manjit Kaur Sidhu. Appreciating the role played by the team of physical education teachers in preparing students in the field of sports, Suman Sofat said more efforts would be made to enable students to compete with their counterparts in various events at the national-level.

BCM, Dugri

Ludhiana: BCM, Dugri, hosted an event to unveil its groundbreaking innovation, MentorX, a fully-functional Robo Mentor designed to enhance the learning experience by responding to queries with precision and engagement. The concept of MentorX emerged during a vibrant brainstorming session in the school’s tinkering lab, where five students — Gurkirat Singh, Baljinder Singh, Gurjot Singh, Aniket Saini, Aarush Rai, Sarthak Singla and Naman Gaur — expressed their aspirations for an interactive learning tool that could provide assistance.

Sri Aurobindo College

The NSS unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, in collaboration with Vardhman Special Steels Ltd, organised a free medical camp in Mansuran village on September 29. This village is adopted by the NSS Unit as a part of their community outreach. The camp offered medical checkups for blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG, and dental health. Over 150 village residents received these services, and free medicines were distributed.

Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative School

Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a heartfelt presentation by students of Class IV on October 2 honouring the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The programme began with the students singing Gandhiji’s favorite bhajan, ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’, setting a serene and respectful tone for the event. The students then performed a short skit depicting key moments from Gandhiji's life, including his role in the Dandi March and his steadfast principles of non-violence and truth.

BVM Sector 39 Chandigarh Road

Various activities were organised at BVM Sector 39, Chandigarh Road, to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The events emphasised on the value of his teachings depicting the cleanliness of body, mind, soul and surroundings. Students also expressed their thoughts by participating in events such as slogan writing , poem recitation, quiz, painting, etc.

NSS volunteers at BCM School, Chandigarh Road, enthusiastically participated in the national ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign. The initiative, aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission, aimed to foster a culture of cleanliness, hygiene, and community service among the youth.
