Gyan Jyoti Institute

Mohali: Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology organised annual sports meet on its campus under the banner ‘Fit Fest’. Over 220 students took part in various sports activities such as volleyball, basketball, badminton and kho-kho. Suraj Gupta was named the best athlete, while Aruvansh and David won gold medals in badminton. Basket Blazers emerge basketball champs.

The Department of Radio Medical Imaging Technology, Dolphin PG College, Mohali, observed World Radiography Day under the theme “Patient Radiation Safety & Ethics in Radiology Practice”. Medical technologists Aditya Nagrath and Ravindra Kumar were guest speakers from the PGI, Chandigarh.

PMLSD Public School, Sector 32

Chandigarh: Students of PMLSD Public School, Sector 32, won medals in the athletics meet organised by Government High School, Sector 46. Vaishnavi secured first position in 100m race, while Nipul Taya claimed first position in 100m back race. Khushant bagged second position in three-legged race and Shivam stood second in slow cycling.

IS Dev Samaj Sr Sec School, Sector 21

Junior wing students of IS Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, participated in their annual function ‘Guldasta’. Students presented nursery rhymes and performed bhangra and gidda. They also presented Rajsthani and Kashmiri folk dances.

Carmel Convent School, Sector 9

Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, held its annual sports day for primary wing students. Dr Mahender Singh, Joint Director, Sports, and Sister Diane, Provincial Councillor for Education, awarded the winners. Students took part in various events and brought laurels. Sportspersons of the school, who excelled in various events at the national and international level, were also felicitated on the occasion.

Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36

Parkash Purb was celebrated at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36. A ‘Guru ka langar’ was also organised on the occasion. Students disseminated the message of harmony, equality and universal brotherhood through poems and speeches.

Ashiana Public School-46

The CBSE organised a two-day capacity building programme based on inclusive education at Ashiana Public School, Sector 46. Anuja Sharma and Harpreet Kaur were the resource persons for this training session. As many as 40 teachers took part in the workshop, group discussions and skill-building activities.

KB DAV School, Sector 7

KB DAV School, Sector 7, organised a one-day educational excursion to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. The trip aimed at blending education, offering a unique platform to explore the wonders of science and technology.

AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali

Mohali: AKSIPS-65 Smart School organised its annual function “Nishabd - When others write your script”. Renowned actor, director, writer, host and radio jockey Maanav Anand Ahuja attended the event. Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla presented the annual report. ‘Nishabd’ was a thematic presentation blending drama and dance.

Amravati Vidyalaya, P’kula

Panchkula: Amravati Vidyalaya, Panchkula, celebrated its annual day function on the theme “Vibrance: A celebration of talent”. Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, along with others, attended the event. The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
