Campus notes: DAV College, Chandigarh
The Commerce Society of the college organised an session on ‘Tally & GST Training’, featuring Gaurav Kaushal as the guest speaker, accompanied by Kush Gupta. The speakers shared the importance of financial knowledge, particularly focusing on tally and GST essentials for career advancement. They presented a comprehensive session on vocational education, underscoring the significance of GST compliance, filing procedure and the need of hands on experience on such topics in today’s competitive environment.
CGC, Jhanjheri
The group of colleges announced the ‘CGC Josh Scholarship’ of Rs 25 crore for the 2025-26 academic year. Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Cabinet Minister, highlighted its significance in empowering youth and fostering academic equity. The scholarship began in 2021 at Rs 5 crore, benefiting 400 students. In 2025 it touched Rs 25 crore which would benefit even more students, he said.

The Entrepreneurship Cell of the college organised a ‘Career Fair’, offering school students a glimpse into the vast possibilities for their future. The event attracted students from various schools to the DSCE campus, providing them with valuable information about different career paths, eligibility requirements and the potential for success in a wide range of professions. The fair featured a series of informative sessions and interactive displays, where students learnt about career opportunities in fields such as education, healthcare, engineering, law, arts, business and others.
