Campus notes: ‘Dandiya’ event at gvm college

The festivals of Dasehra and Navratri was celebrated at the GVM Girls College. Students and teachers played 'dandiya', in which college Principal Manjula Spah also participated. She said on the request of students, a 'dandiya' event was organised in the college, in which the teachers also participated enthusiastically. College students were seen in traditional costumes.

World Architecture Day celebrated

The department of architecture, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), celebrated World Architecture Day in association with Indian Institute of Architecture (IIA), Sonepat sub-centre. Several activities such as model making, painting, sketching, drawing, origami, wire art and quilling were organised. IIA Chairman Gyanender Grewal deliberated on the role of IIA in providing training and jobs to students of DCRUST. DCRUST Vice-Chancellor SP Singh congratulated the department of architecture and motivated the participants and organisers to learning from the best examples of architecture across the world. VC Singh said their tradition was based on science.
