Campus Notes: Awareness on drug abuse
Yamunanagar: Guru Nanak Khalsa College’s Department of Social Work organised a pledge activity to raise awareness about drug de-addiction. Principal Dr Harinder Singh Kang emphasised the significance of such events in fostering a healthy society and addressing drug addiction, which he described as a serious issue among youth. Dr Hemant Mishra, Associate Professor of Social Work, discussed the role of awareness campaigns in combating addiction. The event saw participation from Dr Sahib Singh, Dr Jagat Singh, and other staff members. Sardar Randeep Singh Jauhar, president of the governing body, also praised the initiative.
GVM girls shine in national PPT event
Sonepat: Students from GVM Girls College secured third place in a national-level PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) competition at Agarwal College, Ballabhgarh. Principal Dr Manjula Spah and Head of Institution Dr OP Paruthi congratulated Kashish and Khushi for their successful presentation on “Use of Paper Bags: Sustainable Choices for a Greener Future.” Their presentation highlighted the importance of switching to eco-friendly alternatives like paper bags to help conserve the environment.
