Kaithal: The women cell of RKSD College, Kaithal, under the convenership of Prof Preeti Bansal organised an awareness programme for girl students of the college on the need to be vaccinated for the prevention of cervical cancer. Pravesh Bansal, president, Ashwani Pravesh, Bansal Charitable Trust, was the keynote speaker. Principal Sanjay Goel welcomed the guest and highlighted that such awareness programmes should be part of the syllabus. Parvesh Bansal stressed the need to beeing fully vaccinated and said proper posturing while sitting was necessary for all students as it made the bones and muscles weak.

Seminar on new criminal laws

Sirsa: Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, hosted a seminar on the new criminal laws, organised by its law department under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Professor Ajmer Singh Malik and head of department Professor Mukesh Kumar Garg. The event aimed at enhancing students' understanding and overall development. The seminar saw participation from police inspectors and sub-inspectors of Fatehabad district. Assistant Professor Vakil introduced the new laws, emphasising the need for legal changes to match evolving circumstances. LLM student Sunny discussed changes in the FIR process, while final-year BA LLB student Pradeep explained updates in police reporting. BA LLB student Kashish elaborated on key amendments. Inspector Kanwar Singh shared insights on the added responsibilities brought by the new laws, inspiring students with practical perspectives. Faculty members Dr Vikas Punia, Vakil Mehra and Sandeep Bisla played key roles in organising the successful seminar.
