Cabinet minister Anil Vij holds Janta Darbar, pulls up officials for pending complaints
Cabinet Minister Anil Vij today pulled up the officials of various departments during his weekly Janta Darbar and directed them to resolve the complaints on priority.
The minister was listening to the grievances of residents of Ambala Cantonment constituency at PWD resthouse. He pulled up the officials of police, power, and social welfare department for pending complaints and warned them of action if the grievances were not resolved soon.
Anil Vij was miffed after finding several complaints related to the police, power department and the pension. The minister issued directions to change the in-charge of Housing Board Police Post after a complainant raised the matter of increasing theft cases in the area and the cases lying untraced.
Vij also directed SHO Ambala Cantonment to investigate the cases and catch the thieves.
Minister Anil Vij also directed SDM Ambala Cantonment to investigate a matter after a complainant alleged that she had bought a plot from a local politician and the latter was not getting registration of the plot done.
The cabinet minister also directed GM Roadways Ambala to start a special pink bus for the girl students and women travelling toward Mullana from Ambala Cantonment after a complainant apprised the minister that about the inconvenience being faced by the girl students.
Meanwhile, a woman alleged that her minor daughter suffered burn injuries after some miscreants blew patrol from their mouth. The woman informed the minister that her daughter got treatment from PGI Chandigarh. Anil Vij directed SHO Mahesh Nagar to take strict action against the accused.
A resident of Kalarehri village raised the issue of defunct street lights on Panjokhra Sahib road and Topkahana road following which the minister directed the executive engineer of Panchayati Raj department to get the street lights repaired else he will mark an inquiry regarding the street lights.
Anil Vij also issued directions in complaints related to encroachment, loose power cables, sanitation, land grabbing, property dispute, poor condition of public toilets, tour-travel package fraud, wrongly installed power poles, power meters, roads, teachers’ strength in government school, water leakage, and immigration fraud.
Speaking to mediapersosn, Anil Vij said “Complaints related to various departments have been received from the people and directions have been issued to the officials to resolve the grievances on priority. They have been told that no complainant should come back to Janta Darbar with some complaint else action will be initiated against the official.”
SDM Ambala Cantonment Satinder Siwach, GM Roadways Ashwani Dogra, DSP Rajat Gulia and several BJP leaders were present on this occasion.
