BPCL enters swappable lithium-ion battery supply

Chennai: Eyeing opportunities in the wake of disruption expected from electric vehicles, oil major Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on Monday launched ‘e-drive initiative’ — an electric three-wheeler mobility model. Partnering with electric vehicle-maker Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions and IIT Madras for technology support, the public sector oil marketing giant brought on stream a supply of swappable lithium-ion batteries at its retail outlets in Kochi and Lucknow in the first phase for electric three-wheelers. Sanjeev Agrawal new McDonald’s partner

New Delhi: US fast food chain McDonald’s has selected MMG Group chairman Sanjeev Agrawal as its new partner to operate its outlets in north and east India, the company said. The development comes almost nine months after McDonald’s bought estranged partner Vikram Bakshi’s 50 per cent stake in Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd (CPRL), a joint venture, which has the licence to run its restaurants in north and east India. Dr Trust launches hi-tech Bluetooth body scale

New Delhi: Dr Trust, a home health-tech space brand, has launched hi-tech Bluetooth body scale, which the company claims assesses an individual on 18 critical health parameters. “Along with weight, the body scale gives a true picture of fitness levels by assessing an individual on parameters like body mass index (BMI), basal metabolism rate (BMR), body age, bone mass, visceral fat, muscle mass, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle and much more,” said Saurabh Goyal, executive director of Nureca Pvt Ltd, which owns Dr Trust brand.
