A marble shop was reportedly burgled on the Phagwara-Nakodar road on late Tuesday night. According to the shop owner, Munish Jalota, four persons entered the showroom, tied up the watchman, and lifted the shutter to gain access.
The accused made off with about Rs 8,000 in cash and other items. He said that the presence of a security system forced the culprits to flee quickly, preventing further losses.
The incident was reported to the police, who have since visited the scene and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the shop captured the four individuals involved in the act, and the police are working to identify and apprehend them.
