Popular play Sound of Music was staged by the students of the senior school of Loreto Convent Tara Hall here today.

The play was showcased at the Gonzaga block auditorium for the parents.

Dr Ashoo Khosla, Associate Professor (Management) and chief learning officer at Shoolini University, Solan, was the chief guest at the event. The musical is an adaptation of the movie by the same name.

Set in Austria, the play underlines the need to be persistent and follow your dreams and how music can transform even the most hardened of souls.

The play was directed by the school’s English Department under the guidance of Reetu Khanna Sharma, Rachna and Priti Baldev Singh.

The music for the play was provided by Narinder Kumar, while Neena Sood brought the stage alive with her choreography.

Reena Gautam and Sulakshna Stan provided the props. The sound effects and PowerPoint presentations were supervised by Sunita Sharma.

The entire concert was executed under the guidance of the school principal Sr Goretti.

Every student of the school from Class VI to X participated in the play.

The chief guest commended the play and lauded the hard work put in by the staff and students.
