BSF seizes 2 drones, drug consignment
Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Tuesday recovered two drones and a consignment of heroin in the border districts of Amritsar and Tarn Taran. A press release issued here today by the BSF informed that a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone along with a packet of suspected heroin with gross weight of 560 grams was recovered from a field adjacent to Rattan Khurd village in Amritsar district. The narcotic was found wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, with three illuminated sticks and a copper wire loop attached to it.
The other DJI Air 3S drone that was in a damaged condition was recovered jointly by the BSF and Punjab Police during a search operation conducted at noon on Tuesday from a field adjacent to Wan Tara Singh village in district Tarn Taran. Both the drones are presumed to have crashed due to timely activation of technical counter-measures on the border.
