BSF, police nab 2 drug smugglers from border area

The BSF has nabbed two narco-smugglers from the border area in Amritsar district. The operation was conducted jointly with the Punjab Police.

On December 10, the BSF intelligence wing received information about the presence of some smugglers in the border area of Amritsar district. A comprehensive late evening operation in collaboration with Punjab Police led to two Indian narco-smugglers being apprehended near village Jasror in district Amritsar. Rs 37000 in drug money, two mobile phones and two small weighing machines were also recovered from their possession.

Both the apprehended narco-smugglers have been handed over to the police for further investigations and to find their linkages with the smuggling syndicate.
