BSF foils infiltration bid, killed Pakistani intruder on Amritsar border

The Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder in the border belt falling under the jurisdiction of Amritsar district.

During the late hours of December 8, the alert BSF team on duty observed suspicious movement of an intruder from Pakistan, who surreptitiously crossed the IB (International Boundary) and started approaching towards border security fence taking advantage of darkness, in the border area near village- Mahawa of district Amritsar.

The BSF jawans immediately challenged the intruder but he did not stop his advance and started running towards the border security fence.

Noticing his aggressive gesture, the jawans on duty fired upon and neutralized him on the spot. On searching the area carefully, one shoulder bag with some clothes and personal belongings was found.
