The NSS Unit of the University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC), organised a blood donation camp, under the guidance of PURC Director Prof Aman Amrit Cheema. As many as 90 units of blood were collected during the camp. “No one has ever become poor by giving,” read the motto of the camp. Students were exhorted to donate blood.

41 trained in beekeeping

A total of 41 farmers and rural women attended the “Advanced Beekeeping Training Course” at the Skill Development Centre of Punjab Agricultural University, held under the guidance of Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education. Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development), while providing the details, said, “Upgrading the knowledge and skills of farmers was the key objective of the training.” Course Coordinator Dr Jaspal Singh highlighted the financial progress being made by beekeepers in Punjab.
