Karnal: Brahmin Samiti to take out ‘funeral procession’ of Congress leaders
Karnal, July 9
The Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti will take out a ‘funeral procession’ of Congress leaders Bhupinder Hooda and Randeep Surjewala across the state for allegedly obstructing the recruitment process of government jobs.
Interacting with mediapersons here today, state president Surinder Sharma Barota said the procession will cover all districts and end in Kurukshetra.
He said if the Congress leaders continue to create obstacles, the Samiti members would gherao their residences and offices.
Barota said to obstruct government recruitment, hundreds of court cases were filed by the supporters of Hooda and Surjewala. He said due to the Congress, the future of hundreds of youth has been jeopardised as orders to terminate their jobs had been issued.
He said the Samiti has been fighting for the rights of unemployed youth for decades and has been demanding reservation for Brahmins, Baniyas, Rajputs and Punjabis in the Economically Backward Persons in General Castes Category (EBPG).
“Through this procession, we will raise awareness about the issue. We will continue to fight for our rights,” he added.
He added that in the upcoming Assembly elections, they would support the BJP government as it provides employment without discrimination and corruption.
