Bouncer’s blind murder case cracked, three nabbed
The Special Task Force (STF) has cracked the blind murder case of a bouncer, arresting three accused, each with a bounty on their head.
The accused confessed to killing the bouncer over a two-month-old dispute related to setting up of a kiosk. The STF recovered three illegal firearms and cartridges from their possession.
The victim, 25-year-old bouncer Anuj, a resident of Kadarpur village, was shot by two assailants on a motorbike dressed as food and grocery delivery agents near Ullawas village on June 28. The incident was caught on CCTV, and an FIR was filed at the Sector 65 police station.
A reward of Rs 1.2 lakh had been announced for the capture of the accused. Although the crime unit initially handled the investigation, the case was transferred to the STF on October 7.
Under the supervision of STF DSP Preet Pal Singh Sangwan, the STF apprehended the suspects late last night near Sohna. They were produced in a city court and remanded in three-day police custody.
The accused have been identified as Vikram, also known as Vicky or Chaaku (30), and Narender Bhati (20), both residents of Nimoth village, along with Dalbir, alias Dinesh (27), a resident of Nai Nangla village near Sohna in Gurugram.
DSP Sangwan reported that during interrogation, the main suspect, Vikram, disclosed that he had previously served jail time in a murder case.
The dispute with the victim began two months prior when they clashed over a cigarette kiosk that Vikram had set up near Lemon Tree Hotel, close to Ullawas Chowk. Seeking revenge, Vikram and his associates monitored the victim’s routine and targeted him when they were certain of his gym schedule, ultimately committing the murder on June 28.
In addition to illegal firearms, the STF recovered Blinkit T-shirts worn during the crime, along with a red Zomato bag, from a room on Vikram’s farm. “We are continuing to question the accused,” said DSP Sangwan.
He added that Vikram, who completed education up to Class X, is a farmer with a history of alcohol addiction. Besides the current murder case, he has been previously jailed for 21 months in a separate murder case and faces eight additional charges for theft and violations under the Arms Act.
Dalbir, who worked at a roadside eatery, was previously jailed for theft in June 2024, while the third suspect, Bhati, also has a theft-related criminal record.
