Bollywood actress and BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini, participated in a high-energy roadshow in Hodal on Wednesday to support the BJP candidate, Harinder Singh, for the upcoming elections. Standing atop a sun-roofed vehicle and holding an umbrella emblazoned with the BJP logo, the MP waved to the enthusiastic crowds as her cavalcade traversed the town.

Though Hema Malini did not stop to deliver any formal speeches, her presence electrified the atmosphere as the roadshow wound its way through the streets of Hodal, covering over 3 km from Dabri Mor to Sati Sarovar. The cavalcade passed through several prominent landmarks, including Charan Singh Chowk, Jagjivan Ram Chowk, Main Bazaar, Goyal Chowk, and Rajiv Gandhi Chowk, drawing large numbers of curious locals eager to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood icon.

The roadshow, lasting about an hour, saw the local BJP supporters cheer on both Hema Malini and the party’s candidate, Harinder Singh, showering flowers on their vehicle and chanting slogans in favour of the BJP. “Her presence fuelled zeal and enthusiasm among the party workers and supporters,” a party leader said.

Some enthusiastic supporters even carried Harinder Singh on their shoulders as the cavalcade moved through the town. Singh, the son of former MLA Ram Rattan, is contesting against veteran leader and Haryana Congress president Udai Bhan. The BJP secured a win in this constituency during the 2019 elections.

Hema Malini’s star power, along with the strong support for the BJP, made the event a rousing success, boosting the party’s campaign in Hodal.
