Blood donation camp at law university
Students, faculty members and general public today participated and donated blood during the third annual blood donation camp organised by the Rotaract Club of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Rotary Club Shimla Midtown, with an aim to contribute to the spirit of community service and social responsibility. Prof (Dr) Priti Saxena, Vice Chancellor, HPNLU served as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The camp was meticulously coordinated by Dr Hari Chand , Coordinator of the Rotaract Club of HPNLU, Shimla, in the presence of Ritik Jinarta, president, Rotaract Club of HPNLU, Ravi Kant Jain, president, Rotary Club Shimla Midtown, and Ramesh Thakur, secretary, Rotary Club Shimla Midtown.
While applauding the Rotaract Club and the Rotary Club for their consistent efforts in organising such initiatives, Prof Saxena said voluntary blood donation was a noble act that can save countless lives and foster a culture of empathy and compassion in society.
“Over the years, the Rotaract Club of the HPNLU has emerged as a dynamic platform for students to engage in meaningful social service activities, and this blood donation camp marks yet another milestone in its endeavours” she said.
