The Manali-Leh highway was restored to traffic today. The road had been blocked for hours because of a massive landslide at Chumbak Mod between Manali and Rohtang Pass on this morning.

The traffic on both sides remained interrupted on the highway after big boulders blocked the road. It took hours for the BRO to clear the road.

BRO Commander Colonel Uma Shankar said the road had been restored to traffic despite bad weather conditions in the region.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
